Meredith requested I get the ol' blog back up and running so I thought i'd kick it off by blogging about her and how great she is!
About to embark on a year long journey to Ecuador, I have always admired Meredith's creatively original life plan. She picked up a banjo in the fourth grade and played all through high school, even performing at the Wisconsin State Fair and in CMH Talent Shows. I never would have had the guts to dress like a hayseed and go play on stage in front of all my friends!
While her brother and sister played it safe and went to college instate, Meredith packed up and headed to Minnesota. Two years ago, her and some college friends met myself and a buddy in Yellowstone for a fun-filled weekend. I don't know too many 20 year old girls that would want to go to a national park for their vacation. We hiked, fished cooked and drank (just a little ;)) I think it will always be my favorite Wyoming memory.
Mere just finished hiking 300+ miles of the Appalachian trail in less than a month; for those of you keeping score at home that's 10 miles a day for 30 days straight... My feet hurt just thinking about it!
Meredith, keep exploring and blazing your own trail it is what makes you special! I hope you have a wonderful birthday and wish I was there to celebrate with you!
PS - go crazy w/ what ever you want to sell of mine for Ecuador money (Aquarium and Car Stereo Equiptment and what ever else you can find).
